Ghana π¬π is set to host a new Hyundai automotive manufacturing plant, expanding the country's growing auto industry.
The facility will assemble vehicles for the West African market and builds on Hyundaiβs existing operation in Tema.
The agreement was announced by Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa after talks in South Korea.
The partnership also includes plans for a new university and solar-powered irrigation projects.
President John Dramani Mahama had a breakfast meeting with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, at 10 Downing Street.
He was accompanied by the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and Ghanaβs High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Zita Sabah Benson.
