Hello Knights,
Every season Coach Tucker likes to honor one of our former all time great Knights, Malcolm Piggott. Malcolm was one of the greatest athletes to ever play for the maroon and grey. He loved his teammates and was a model student for all Knight's to follow. After Malcolm's tragic passing in 2007 the day before football season started, The coaching staff decided not to wear Malcolm's number 11 jersey. In 2012 Coach Tucker wanted to keep Malcolm's memory alive so he started to award the Jersey Yearly to a player that embodied Malcolm's spirit and love for Thomas Dale.
Coach Tucker's motto is PFTWC- Play For Those Who Came Before, Play For Those Who Will Come After and Play For Those Who Cannot!!!!.
In 2018 Coach Tucker Retired Jersey Number 11, which was worn by another former Thomas Dale Great, CJ Reavis (Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons and Saskatchewan Rough Riders). However Coach Tucker and CJ wanted Malcolm's spirit to live on and never be forgotten what it means to be a TRUE KNIGHT. So now each week we will award the number 11 to a deserving member of the Knights football team, who embodies all that Malcolm stood for.
This week’s Malcolm Piggott player of the week is Se Donald Quicke. Don has himself a big night last week be PG. Don was the only RB available to our team b/c of injuries. We asked him to carry the load and put the offense on his back, and boy did he. Don rushed for 2 Touchdowns and caught another to help the us pull off a 21-0 win. He played in 95% of the offense snaps and ended the night with over 100 all purpose yards. Thank you Don for being so dedicated to the Knight football program over the last four years and Congratulations on being selected as the Malcolm Piggott POTWf#PFTWC #11, continue lead by example.

First, I stopped responding to people I don’t respect.

Then, I stopped trying to explain myself to people who benefit from misunderstanding me.

Finally, I stopped giving my attention to people I wouldn’t choose to sit across from at dinner.

Once you remove the noise, there really isn’t much left to respond to… because the people who matter aren’t the ones doing goofy shii.

DeSean Jackson's older brother made the Chiefs practice squad—then quit football, picked up a camera, and spent the next 35 years filming his little brother.

Pop Warner. Long Beach Poly. Cal. The Eagles.

Thousands of hours of home video nobody outside that family has ever seen.

Their dad told DeSean to "think NFL." He finished with 26 career TDs of 60+ yards—still the NFL record, and nobody's close.

This week’s Malcolm Piggott player of the week is Sr Preston Bradley. Preston suffered terrible knee injury going into his junior year. However, he felt back and was able to get some limited playing time late last year. This off-season Preston pushed himself and his teammates to be the best versions of themselves. He is one of our standard bearers and was awarded their first I am the standard T-shirt by his teammates. Trusting the process, Preston has developed into one of the areas best linebackers. Last week he left no doubt as to why he is a team captain, standard bearer, and a defensive powerhouse. With a tight battle against the Cosby Titans, Preston intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, which help shift the momentum of the game into the Knight’s favor. His tenacity and grit helped lead Darkzone defense to a shut out and hold Cosby to just eight total yards of offense.
Thank you Preston for being so dedicated to the Knight football program over the last four years and Congratulations on being selected as the Malcolm Piggott POTWf#PFTWC #11, continue lead by example.

This week’s Malcolm Piggott player of the week is Azavion Brown. Zay as he is known to his teammates had a great Jr campaign for the Darkzone defense. He recorded 62 tackles, 8 sacks, 12 TFLs, 1 INT, 3 FF. As impressive as those stats are, equally as impressive is the growth that I’ve seen in him this off-season, Zay was chosen by his teammates as a captain and has embraced a new role. Zay is flourishing in this new role and his teammates are loving it. Thank you Zay for being so dedicated to the Knight football program over the last three years and Congratulations on being selected as the Malcolm Piggott POTWf#PFTWC #11, continue lead by example.
