With some great innocence I proposed the Idea of hourly Vande Bharat Type trains between important cities which are 300 to 500 kms from each other.

Then I realized we haven't implemented a suburban railway in Bengaluru for 43 years.

In the time China went from Steam Engines to Diesel to Electric to deploying the world's largest network of High Speed rail, we haven't been able to roll out a non air conditioned, 30 kmph, simple suburban railway system, the likes of which have been existing in Mumbai and Chennai since 1900s.

I guess my previous suggestion is a little too ambitious for Indian Railways at this stage.
