Tom Holland sharing a quote that said “if you have a problem with me, text me, and if you don’t have my number, you don’t know me well enough to have a problem with me” really stuck with me
Shoutout to heterosexual men who are genuinely comfortable in their sexuality.
Men who can exist around gay men without treating homosexuality like it’s contagious, or thinking that being seen with us somehow puts their own sexuality up for debate.
And I think that’s part of what I want Awkward Dates to normalize: heterosexual men and homosexual men existing in the same space without either person having to perform a role.
The gay guy doesn’t have to become the “gay bestie,” the handbag or the entertainment. And the straight guy doesn’t have to become defensive, hypermasculine or immediately assume, “he wants me.”
Sometimes two men with different sexualities can literally just… vibe. Laugh. Talk shit. Respect each other. Exist.
Because being comfortable around a gay man doesn’t make a straight man less straight.
And being gay doesn’t mean we want every straight man we meet.
Please. We have types too. 😭😂❤️
