I remember that I always referred to him as “Jobs,” or “Steve Jobs,” right from my management study days in the late nineties.

Some time in 2018, at an Apple briefing, I muttered “Steve might not have done that…”

The Apple executive paused and looked at me. And I quickly said “I meant Steve Jobs.”

And he smiled and said, “You have been writing about him since 1999, Nimish. You can call him Steve. You have earned it.”

I don’t know. I guess. I do miss him.
