Today in Abuja, I hosted the Honourable Commissioners for Information of APC-governed States.
We had productive discussions on strengthening communications coordination between the Federal Government and the States, so that we can more effectively amplify the progressive policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Our public communications and engagement must be clear, consistent and transparent, and we must work harder to combat misinformation and disinformation.
Above all, our work is about building public trust. And to earn that trust, we must listen to the people.
Minister of Information @HMMohammedIdris has urged APC Commissioners of Information across the states to work together in coordinating government communication and highlighting the policies and achievements of President Tinubu’s administration.
He emphasised the need for clear, consistent and transparent communication, the use of traditional and digital media, and fighting misinformation.
He also reminded the Commissioners that communicating with Nigerians is not just about promoting government policies but also listening to citizens’ concerns and building public trust.
How do you stop President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from getting re-elected when the masses are coming out in their numbers to show support for his re-election?

You are not doing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a favor by voting for him again
You are actually doing yourself and Nigeria a favor
Get your PVC ready and do the right thing. #ArewaForAsiwaju
The biggest problem with some Northern politicians is that President Tinubu is not backing down. They are finding it hard to understand his boldness.
They expected a Southern president to come begging them for support and re-election, but Tinubu has refused to do that.
He has refused to bow to the Northern cabals, and they are not happy about it. #ArewaForAsiwaju

Look at the number of people coming out en masse to support @BashirSZuntu in Ikara/Kubau.
Grassroots politics-wise, if you remove Uba Sani, there’s no politician in Kaduna State with more grassroots political pull than Bashir Zuntu.
While others are still busy strategising, Nasarawa has already begun celebrating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory. Indeed, this massive movement will not stop until we secure President Tinubu’s victory in 2027.
