Nigeria happened to my brother in law.

He was coming from Lagos some years back and entered a car that was just bought from kotonu.

On their way to Niger state, they met a police checkpoint and that was where the problem started, they stopped them and the driver packed, they asked for the car particulars, the driver explained to them that the car was just bought

And before you knew, the police man brought out his gun, at the sight of the gun, the driver started the car and began to drive with speed.

The police man shot the gun at them, and killed the driver, the other guy was fast enough to run away and my brother in law was caught.

They took him into their custody, and for a week they didn't allow him reach out to anyone, they took his phone, told him to write a statement that he's a thief and that they found guns in his possession as he refused to write they didn't allow him to make any calls.

This was how my brother in law began holding his stomach that he has a very terrible stomach ache and only his mother knows the medicine for it.

In other for him not to die in their custody they allowed him to call his mum.

By and large, he ended up in prison for 6 months, after spending so much money on lawyers here and there he finally came out.
