@BlockedForReal @Eklliier Where do you scale konosuba? Subaru being able to block Elsa’s attack in arc 1 when in a life or death situation scales him above the entire verse. Re zero as a verse is in a completely different league than konosuba by all metrics.

@loveliury I guess Subaru also comes off as “whiny” or “overreacting” because the anime cuts out or censors a lot of the gore or Subarus suffering. E.g They cut stuff like mabeast in second loop in arc 6. Novel Subaru in the same arc has it twice as bad as his anime counterpart.

@loveliury Subaru is smarter and more competent in the novels by a mile with all the cut content, monologues and them changing scenes but adding words like cold to Subaru excluding if routes doesnt work in any capacity. He doesn’t scream as much in the novels but thats more of a vibe thing

Also rudeus is forced to get involved due to characters like puck, roswall, echidna and due to the events that happen in the later arcs

@balbal4life @YamikoRachel Just off pure base stats, rudy is more skilled but due to the power system and the scaling of re zero in pure physical stats Subaru slams when in combat situations. Him blocking an attack from Elsa at the end of arc 1 is enough to place him higher really.

@SolemnJockey @YamikoRachel It really arc 10 Subarus AP and dura is solar so I don’t think hes stronger in any capacity. He’s also miles before Elsa in both skill and strength. Elsa is incomparable stronger and no attack works the same in her twice and her absurd intuition.

@LikelyMare @nigstnguemyanus @YamikoRachel Rudy is weaker he can’t bypass Elsa’s base durability even if he has dura neg or soul attacks Elsa has tanked worse and been unaffected. I don’t think you understand the sheer power gap between them Elsa is like uni at the bare minimum it’s no contest.

@LikelyMare @nigstnguemyanus @YamikoRachel Nah Elsa is faster and stronger than him even with the demon eye he gets blitzes and one shot. I like MT it’s the second best isekai but power wise re zero is on a whole other level. Like comparing DB to JJK the gap is even larger than that
