In Loving Memory of Dr. Idris Abdulaziz (1968 – April 3, 2025)
A Voice of Truth. A Legacy of Knowledge. A Heart for the Ummah.
With deep sorrow and profound respect, we mourn the passing of Dr. Idris Abdulaziz, a revered Islamic scholar, fearless orator, and a guiding light to countless Muslims in Nigeria and beyond. He returned to his Lord on April 3, 2025 in Bauchi, Nigeria.
Born in 1968, Dr. Idris dedicated his life to the propagation of authentic Islamic teachings. A product of deep scholarship, he became widely known for his mastery in Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Tafsir. His sermons, often delivered in eloquent Hausa and Arabic, were powerful, bold, and rooted in sincerity.
As the Chief Imam of JIBWIS Mosque in Bauchi, he led with conviction and clarity. He was not afraid to challenge injustice, corruption, or extremism—no matter how powerful the opposition. His voice echoed through the hearts of those seeking truth, justice, and a return to genuine Islamic values.
Dr. Idris was more than a scholar—he was a movement. His lectures inspired critical thinking, religious reform, and community development. His impact will continue through his students, recordings, and the many lives he touched.
We pray:
Allahummaghfirlahu warhamhu, wa ajirhu fil-jannah. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, shower him with mercy, and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.
Indeed, the Ummah has lost a pillar, but his legacy lives on.
AM Abdullahi
