We can argue about LTNs, cycle lanes, electric cars and idling as much as you want — but it’s not going to change the fact that cars cause air pollution and the only way to reduce air pollution is to reduce the number of cars on our roads.
When we say that roads are closed, what we often mean is that its closed for cars. We believe changing this phrasing can give positive promotion of active travel opportunities.
"Sustainable Safety" is one of the cornerstones of Dutch road safety policy.
Its ultimate goal is create a road network so reliable that everybody can get home safely. Not only fit able-bodied people or drivers in protected vehicles, but every road user.
