We're testifying in support of HB1260, legislation that seeks to address a dangerous loophole in NH's violations of privacy statute. We're grateful to the family members of a child survivor who are joining us in advocating against child exploitation.
"This isn't one of these things where, 'Oh, this random person might hurt me and has the ability to hurt me.' This is literally a person pointing a gun at someone's head saying, 'I'm going to kill you with this gun,' " Prosecutor Steve Endres said.
"This (bill) is outrageous, especially when we know that an abuser's access to a firearm increases the risk of a domestic violence homicide five-fold."
