Thank you @CBSDetroit for inviting me back to celebrate #NationalReadingMonth!
I had a great time talking with @ShainaHumphries about student literacy and getting the chance to recommend some books to spark that joy of reading.

Up for a tiny writing challenge? The 7th annual 100-word Microfiction Challenge by @nycmidnight kicks off on March 20th! Learn more at https://t.co/LIrz7WV9Vr
Hey @instagram and @Meta, itβs been over 48 hours, and I still canβt like posts on Instagram even though my account status says I should have full access. Whatβs the deal?
Just submitted my 100-word story for the #MicroFictionChallenge100!
My group was assigned to write a romance (genre) that included making tea (action) and the word βturn.β
I took a risk and hope it pays off.
With 59 writers per group, the top 15 to advance to Round 2. π€πΌπ€πΌ
Uploaded my Rd 2 submission for @nycmidnightβs #ShortStoryChallenge2024! By this time for Rd 1, I hadnβt even started writing yet. π€£
I hope the judges enjoy my 2,000-word romantic comedy (genre) about a getaway (subject) with a bookworm (character).
I look forward to sharing!
2,500 words submitted with 29 minutes to spare!
Capturing my entire story wasnβt possible with the word limit & the fact I started 3.5 hours ago, but Iβm decently content.
Not really a crime caper. Iβll probs get DQed, but at least I didnβt give up.
#shortstorychallenge2024
My last-minute crime caper that I almost gave up on and didnβt submit earned second place in my group during Round 1 of NYC Midnightβs #shortstorychallenge2024.
What a lesson about just going for it and throwing your hat in the ring no matter what because anything can happen.

#shortstorychallenge2024
Nothing like starting my 2,500-word entry for the #shortstorychallenge2024 only four hours before the deadline. Life happens, ya know?
However, this is still better than last year when I thought the deadline was Sunday and missed it completely.
