Israeli warplanes launched a sweeping wave of aerial assaults across southern Lebanon since midnight, striking areas across the cities of Nabatieh, Tyre, and Bint Jbeil. They targeted the towns and villages of Arab Salim, Deir al-Zahrani, Kafr Jouz, Ali al-Tahir, Yohmor al-Shaqif, and Zibdine. Israeli airstrikes also targeted Tibnin, Srifa, Majdal Zoun, Al-Mansouri, and Qlaileh, while a consecutive double raid in Arzoun leveled two homes and injured multiple people.

​Simultaneously, Israeli artillery units attacked the outskirts of Haris, Siddiqin, Yater, and Hanniyeh. Israeli drone strikes also struck the Kfar Roumman-Jarmaq Highway and Jarmaq-Khardali transit road, killing at least three people in three separate strikes.

A specific incident in Dweir should be highlighted: For nearly 22 hours, a woman in the village of Dweir, Suzanne Hoteit, has remained trapped beneath the rubble after rescue crews were prevented from bringing in heavy machinery due to Israeli threats and attacks. After hours of delays, crews have begun clearing the debris in search of her.

In other news, Europe - in its infinite moral void - voted against imposing even minor consequences on Israel for its countless war crimes.

Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was found dead after hours of searching under rubble. She was killed in an Israeli strike, after the Israeli army fired at ambulances trying to reach her, delaying her rescue.

She is the fourth journalist killed by Israel while in the field since 2 March.

She was a professional, kind and dedicated journalist, and always a pleasure to run into in the field.
