Anyway. What you probably don’t know is GOT7 would’ve left JYPE as a group WITH OR WITHOUT the trademarks. Jay B asked the members: “do you guys want to continue together? If yes i will fight for each and everyone of u” they all said yes and so he went on to take care of things. BUT BamBam later said they were ready to register new trademarks with A DIFFERENT NAME in case the negotiation fell through. They even prepared GOD7 to be trademarked because in korean the spelling is the same as GOT7 😭

To GOT7 members the group is more than a kpop group name or a business relationship. The boys want to be together not because of a simple contract- they don’t even do this for the fans. They told us if the fans didn’t want them, they would have still met up and be together anyway simply because they need each other.

But since the fans still wait for them they use the times they meet each other to make songs and organize comebacks - and even then still they don’t have a contract that says they have to do comebacks.

So, maybe before making flippant comments how GOT7 has it easy — they make it look easy but behind it is 7 people who do their sincere best in keeping their brotherhood strong - even if sometimes they have to make sacrifices in their personal & professional lives. If u think of the group as a simple business transaction, it may not worth those sacrifices but if you think of them as a lifetime of having genuine friends, it’s a small price to pay, with no regrets.
