In all of my experience playing the game, I’ve never had a coach tell me that the shooter is also the first person back. When the shot goes up it’s on his perimeter teammates to be the first guy(s) back.

1. Kicking the ball ahead in transition
2. Wings sprinting to corners every time whether they get the ball or not
3. Bigs rim running every time
4. Desire to rebound out of your area
