You’re looking at it completely wrong.
US is NOT dependent on the Strait of Hormuz. Thanks to Trump-era policies and the shale boom, the U.S. is a net oil exporter with almost zero reliance on Gulf crude. Trump had prepared himself for this war way earlier.
Iran is only hurting itself and its supporters (especially China and Arabs). Global prices may rise a bit, so U.S. gas prices could increase slightly, but there’s no real shortage in America. U.S. energy companies are even profiting from higher export prices.
This hurts Iran and Asia/Europe far more than the U.S.
Trump is not desperate for a deal. He is just buying time.
@Pogojar@RichardHanania Right? I prefer high brow humor like when the White House posts memes about locking up immigrants in Ghibli style or protestors having shit dumped on their heads
Trump: This is a brass plaque. I did this. Most people would put brass on top of a piece of wood. This is solid brass. This is all solid beautiful brass.
@mentalext@RichardHanania I don't see that part of the story in what Richard posted.
But also, conservatives are often raping kids so idk wtf you're talking about
@PiscoLitty@Toxoplamosis@LiberalHegemony He says he is working to give Dems control of both chambers. It stands to reason that this may require Platner to win Maine. I guarantee he will support Platner if he's the deciding Senator to make that happen
