Today's Telegram ban is proof of why an indigenous social media or messaging app can never grow in India.

If @durov was Indian, he would be in jail along with his entire team and his entire infrastructure seized because a question paper was supposedly leaked on Telegram. It would have taken a few months to get bail. Line of FIRs stretching to Kanyakumari. Court cases dragging on for a decade or more. TV channels would have gone to town with all kinds of consipracies of how Soros is involved.

We have vaguely written laws, open to the worst interpretation and bureaucratic overreactions. It's not a stable foundation for anyone to build on.

The same applies to now AI. Anyday someone will be offended in this country by anything an indigenous AI generates in text or images and the founders can find themselves in jail and fighting court cases.

ಇಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ತಲಾವಾರು ಆದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಸಂಪತ್ತು, ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಸಮಾನ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಅನುಷ‍್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತರುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಂಗಾತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಒಟ್ಟು ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಒದಗಿಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧ, ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ನನ್ನದಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಬಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆದೊಯ್ಯವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಗಲ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಬದ್ದತೆ, ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮುನ್ನೋಟ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ನನ್ನದು.

ಇಡೀ ದೇಶ ಇಂದು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಭದ್ರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭೀತಿಗೊಳಗಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನತೆ ಕೂಡಾ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆತಂಕಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಮರ್ಥ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯ ಪಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿದೆ.

ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಲಬಹುದು, ಗೆಲ್ಲಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಸೈದ್ಧಾಂತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಎಂದೂ ಸೋಲಬಾರದು. ಒಂದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷ ಸೈದ್ಧಾಂತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸೋತರೆ ಆ ಪಕ್ಷ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲಾಗದೆ ನಾ���ವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ��ಂಬಿದವನು ನಾನು.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮಾತೃಸ್ವರೂಪಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಗತವೈಭವವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಕೂಡಾ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಇಂತಹ ಸವಾಲಿನ ಅನೇಕ ಅಗ್ನಿದಿವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ದಾಟಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಬಲ ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಸಫಲಗೊಳಿಸಲಿ.

ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹಿರಿಯರು ತ್ಯಾಗ-ಬಲಿದಾನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಜಾತ���-ಧರ್ಮಗಳ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಂವಿಧಾನವನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವವರ ದಮನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದವರು ಇಂದು ಗೋಡ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆರೆಸಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಆಶಯಗಳಾದ ಸಮಾನತೆ, ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾತ್ಯತೀತತೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೇ ತನ್ನ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿರುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಸೈದ್ಧಾಂತಿಕವಾಗಿ ತಳಮಟ್ಟದಿಂದಲೇ ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗುವುದೇ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ನಮಗೆ ಇರುವ ಏಕೈಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ದಾರ���ಯಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಏಕತೆ, ಸಮಗ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲು ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡೀ ಶಾಸಕಾಂಗ ಪಕ್ಷ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಏಳುಕೋಟಿ ಜನತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.

I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
