Me feeling that familiar pang of hope while watching practice highlights of Embiid and hearing he “could” be ready to play in the final 76ers preseason game.
I opened Friday's @PFT_Live by addressing something not about football. The feedback was surprisingly positive. I wrote something about that issue tonight. If you're interested, here it is. If you're not, don't read it. Either way, have a good evening. https://t.co/PBAKLMnTts
I can't quit the Sixers this season no matter how bad it looks right now.
McCain is one of the best rookies I've seen in years. He's legit. Maxey is an All-Star. Just need to get into the playoffs, and have Embiid and George healthy by April.
Only 4 back from the 5-seed right now and 3 back from the 7-seed. It's not like this awful 3-12 start is insurmountable.
George/Embiid health is a massive if, obviously. But usually heartbreak is saved for the end instead of the beginning in Philadelphia. Maybe this is the way it needs to be for the Sixers to get over the hump.
And again, Jared McCain is special. He's the x-factor if they can get everything else right.
@HoopsReference Such a loser take. 1. He hasn’t shown a single year where he’s 100% healthy and 2. It’s hindsight. You wouldn’t have tweeted this if it’s 2-2
