This is a dream come true!
I’d always wanted to connect a #MiniDisc to an #MSX as a data drive. I think MiniDisc 💽 is one of the coolest media ever.
I contacted @xavirompe in 2023 about his Rookie Drive, and he explained to me that CDs and MiniDiscs have 2K sectors and Nextor won't read them.

But now, with AI, some dreams can become reality: #Claude has created a driver to read, write, and format Hi-MD on the MSX, and it works like a charm!!
This might be the first time in history that a MiniDisc has been connected to an MSX!
Combining the two coolest things in the world 😎 MSX + MiniDisc!

🧵 Hoy llevo desde las 13:00 en el Hospital General Universitario Rafael Méndez de Lorca acompañando a mi madre, de 85 años y con demencia.

La espera ya es dura de por sí. Pero hay algo que me parece indignante.

Al estar el hospital prácticamente aislado, si necesitas comer o comprar algo para un paciente, en muchos casos solo tienes una opción: la cafetería.

Hoy he comprado un yogur Danone fresa para que mi madre pudiera merendar. Precio: 1,90 €.

Ese mismo yogur cuesta aproximadamente 0,25 € por unidad (1€ el pack de 4) al comprar un pack en un supermercado. Estamos hablando de un incremento cercano al 660%.

No estoy pidiendo precios de supermercado. Entiendo que una cafetería tiene costes y debe obtener beneficios. Pero una cosa es ganar dinero y otra muy distinta aprovechar una situación en la que pacientes y familiares no tienen alternativa.

Ir al hospital no es un capricho. Hay personas que pasan allí jornadas enteras o semanas acompañando a un ser querido. Los productos básicos deberían tener precios razonables.

Pido al Hospital General Universitario Rafael Méndez, al Servicio Murciano de Salud y a quien corresponda que revisen esta situación. La atención sanitaria también pasa por tratar con dignidad a pacientes y acompañantes.

Si crees que esto no debería ocurrir en un hospital público, agradecería que compartieras este mensaje para que llegue a quien pueda cambiarlo.
