I love my field of work. It challenges me to do more.
When I effectively started this journey, I never knew what was ahead, but I knew I would face it head-on.
In one year, I have created several organisational documents, a counselling curriculum (for 3 academic years), a training curriculum, and even spearheaded a conference (the first of its kind).
If anyone had told me two years ago that I would be moving at this pace in this industry, I would have blinked twice.
But here I am today pushing through, laying the foundation.
All praise Allah for giving me this knowledge, for guidance through my mentor, and for putting my trust in the hearts of my clients.
We are just getting started.
Not to mention the series of therapy and counselling cases I have handled successfully.
I am grateful

I have been tagged several times to this post.
First of all, I commend your modesty, patience, and commitment to keeping your marriage pure. It takes a lot of strength to speak up about something this personal, but I must say you are doing the right thing.
In marital jurisprudence, intimacy is a fundamental right that both spouses owe to each other, and the Sharia explicitly protects a woman’s right to physical and emotional fulfillment to safeguard her chastity. You should not sit in silence while your emotional well-being deteriorates.
Given that your marriage is only seven months old and followed a long-distance relationship, there could be several hidden factors at play here:
There is a very real psychological possibility that a specific turn-off occurred somewhere in-between your very first intimate encounters.
If a couple has been long-distance for a long time, they build up a lot of expectations in their minds. Then, during the very first intimate encounter, something small can happen, maybe an unexpected reaction, an awkward moment, an issue with hygiene, a comment made in innocence, or even a sudden realization of sexual incompatibility, that in most cases creates a severe psychological block or a "turn-off."
He may not be bold enough to speak up about it to avoid hurting your feelings or damaging his own pride, and then choosing instead to withdraw completely into his phone as an escape mechanism.
If this is not the case, your husband might be dealing with performance anxiety, a physiological medical issue he is too ashamed to admit. Also, we cannot rule out the possibility that he might be deeply entangled in a hidden haram habit, such as a porn addiction or a secret relationship, which completely drains his desire and attention away from his halal wife. All of these are intelligent possibilities.
However, be it as it may, you must initiate a direct, non-confrontational conversation outside the bedroom.
1. Frame it around your love for him and your fears for your faith. Tell him clearly that your emotional and physical needs are not being met, and that it is hurting you deeply, and you are afraid of falling into sinful thoughts.
Reassure him completely that you love him, that you are his wife, and that you are fully available for him to satisfy himself and find peace with you. Let him know there is no judgment or pressure, only a desire to be close to him.
2. As a practical and supportive step, you can also look into incorporating natural, nutrient-dense foods into his diet that are known to improve blood flow, support testosterone production, and boost male libido. You can Google those types of foods... Prepare these meals for him as a gentle, loving gesture to encourage physical vitality.
3. Insist firmly that seeking a cure or help is a Sunnah duty, and give him a timeline to seek medical or therapeutic advice. If he completely refuses to talk or see a professional, do not expose these intimate matters to the whole family yet, as that can humiliate a man and make him withdraw completely.
Instead, identify just one deeply mature, trustworthy person, like a wise uncle, an older brother, or a grounded local Imam whom your husband respects, and speak to them in strict confidence. Ask this mediator to pull him aside man-to-man to remind him of his Islamic obligations and encourage him to get help.
4. Keep making Dua in your Sujood for Allah to remove this barrier.
But remember that if you exhaust all options of communication, medical help, and family mediation, and he still completely refuses to fulfill your rights, Islam does not condemn you to a lifetime of emotional starvation.
If the marriage remains a source of harm rather than a fortress of chastity, the Sharia fully grants you the right to seek a legal separation through a qualified Islamic authority. Stand firm upon your rights with dignity, kindness, and clarity.
I hope this helps you.
Allah knows best.

URGENT APPEAL FOR HELP.
DEAR EVERYONE,
We humbly appeal to kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and members of the public to come to the aid of this young widow and her three children.
During the holy month of Ramadan, while preparing Sahoor for her family, a pot of hot water accidentally poured on her arm, causing a severe burn injury. What started as a painful accident has become a prolonged struggle because she could not afford proper medical treatment and wound care. As a result, the wound has worsened, leaving her in constant pain and making it difficult for her to work and provide for her children.
This mother is raising three children alone after the loss of her husband. Sadly, despite the existence of family farmland and other shared properties that her late husband had with his siblings that could have helped support her and her children, she has been denied access to these resources, this happened because she refused pressure from the family of her late husband to remarry her late husband’s stepbrother.
This situation is even more sad and heartbreaking because her husband also died from fire accident complications.
Today, she faces two urgent challenges:
Medical treatment and wound care to help her recover and heal properly.
Financial support to start a small business or employment so she can provide food, education, and basic necessities for her three children and regain her independence.
I have been the only one taking care of her since her husband demise last year, it became more intense and too much on me when the fire accident happened and I cannot continue doing this alone.
Her hand is getting so bad, the smell is so bad too that I had to hold my breath to take these pictures with her. And I want to do everything possible I can do for her before I leave Nigeria back to the UK.
No amount is too small. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference in helping this widow rebuild her life and secure a better future for her children.
We sincerely appeal to everyone to show compassion and extend a helping hand during this difficult time.

No matter how well you raise your children, they are still potential victims of those who didn’t raise theirs right. You can teach your kids respect, discipline, values, and good character; but one poorly raised child in the same school, street, or neighbourhood can introduce violence, entitlement, bullying, or moral decay into their world.
“Where is the money for the subsidy going?” “Why is the government taking loan?” Watch this to improve your understanding. Don’t let anyone misinform you.
The situation you are describing is a heavy one, and it is understandable why you feel overwhelmed with a three month old at home while facing a new pregnancy.
First of all, establishing the time marker is key here: your wife is one month pregnant, which puts her in the Nutfah stage, well before the 120 day mark of ensoulment.
From a grounded Islamic perspective, the majority of scholars view abortion as generally prohibited because it interferes with a life that Allah has decreed.
However, because the pregnancy is only at one month, there is more room for scholarly discussion compared to later stages. Many scholars, particularly within the Hanafi school and some Shafi'i and Hanbali jurists, allow for termination within the first 40 days if there is a valid reason.
This is where you have to be careful with your intentions. While financial fear is often discouraged as a reason, based on the Quranic warning not to kill children for fear of poverty, the physical and emotional health of the mother are considered valid grounds.
Since your wife just gave birth three or four months ago, her body is still recovering. If a new pregnancy would severely impact her health or her ability to care for the current infant, many scholars would consider this a legitimate pressing need to justify termination before 40 days.
The raw truth is that you cannot terminate just because of a whim. There must be a genuine fear of harm, whether it is the mother's physical health, her mental well-being, or the inability to provide the basic rights of the existing child.
While the text offers leniency in the first month, it is not a free pass. You and your wife should sit down and honestly assess if this is a matter of genuine hardship.
If the hardship is real, the scholarly path for termination at one month exists, but it should be done with a clear conscience.
Allah knows best.
I support the husband on this. He clearly said he cannot afford to send the child to a private school. More importantly, the child is not even his biological child.
If the mother wants a private school for the child, she can contribute towards it or involve the child’s biological father. It is unfair to shame a man for being honest about what he can and cannot afford, especially regarding a responsibility that is primarily not his.
Kalas!
As a Muslim man, if you enter marriage with a mindset of sharing financial responsibilities, then you’re approaching marriage the wrong way. The responsibility of provision is primarily yours, and I believe Allah makes provisions for the responsibilities you sincerely intend to carry. Alhamdulillah, Allah has been sufficient for me in that regard.
Of course, realities differ. In some countries and economic situations, dual incomes may be necessary. But a man should not enter marriage expecting his wife to share his financial responsibility from the outset.
At the same time, wives should support their husbands when they can. Marriage is a partnership. Brothers! Please strive, work hard, and ask Allah to put barakah in your work and business.
When you genuinely take responsibility, even during difficult times, it becomes easier for your wife to support you willingly, not because it's her obligation, but because you're a team.
