@paul85177@JustinWolfers Gov spending as a % of GDP is steadily dropping. Yes it was very high during Covid but now it is back to regular levels and continues to drop as the rate of gdp continues to outpace the rate of gov spending.
@levenson_david@JustinWolfers And I’m not saying this is necessarily the 90s I am just saying that rates are higher and can be used to spur economic growth and the tightness in the labor market will spur innovation.
@levenson_david@JustinWolfers Well when Biden and dems win by a landslide they’ll raise taxes assisting in balancing the budget.
No clue about the USSR thing.
Wars were popping up in the 90s too. Had a genocide in Africa wars in Europe ect
Rate cuts spur bank lending.
@skulldugger@JustinWolfers Considering Trump left in the middle of Covid it would not look good at all. Probably not fair to compare trumps entire 4 years to above.
@paul85177@JustinWolfers I’m sorry Paul but it is not still ongoing.
The Fed balance sheet has shrunk nearly 20% since the peak.
Fed has been pulling liquidity out of the system for 2 years come this March
@levenson_david@JustinWolfers The difference is the Fed has levers they can pull. Aka rate cuts to stimulate economic growth.
Last time labor was this tight was early 90s and we got a huge explosion of technological innovation that spurred us forward.
@craxvsports Now if say Milton transferred and the injury never happened and it blew up then sure you could claim that.
Everyone else was unproven and Blackmon was never Mike’s recruit.
@craxvsports Milton literally almost lost his leg. He was never the same.
Purdy was not good. There’s a reason he can’t start at Nebraska.
Duffy couldn’t beat out Brock and bounced idk how that’s on Mike
Blackmon lost his job and left.
