Our new term of dance activities is about to start. We have a free public social dance with team demos & taster teaching for beginners from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday 7th October in Parkside Community College (ie school) gym (CB1 1EH). Try some Ballroom & Latin & RnR.

This summer we have some taught dance classes running through July on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings as well as the untaught DanceSport & social practices on Tuesday & Friday evenings.

The competitive dancesport begins in earnest on Saturday 12th October, with ballroom & latin workshops & team trials vs acrobatic RnR in the afternoon.
Our new term (& academic year) starts this week. You can find us at freshers fairs & in-college demos. But non-university people can still come to our free public taster session from 6pm on Tuesday 8th October in Parkside Community College gym or attend classes from Wednesday.
This week our one-off dance class for people to try is a 2-hour workshop from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday 18th September in the Stoneyard Centre upper hall. Kath will be teaching cross-body salsa & bachata. Price £10

Please get Dianne to prioritise working on your frame in both ballroom & latin holds, as having the correct positioning & tension in that will give you the tactile feedback & connection you need to enable her to keep you safe on the dancefloor.
Strictly Come Dancing has returned to the BBC for another season. It currently looks like @bbcstrictly has abandoned Twitter, now that it's an X social media platform. But maybe they'll stage a come-back in the weeks following their launch show.
