Couple notes from John Mozeliak:
— Keeping staff/FO/coaches through end of season. Jobs are safe.
— He didn’t rule out staying long term, but not plan as of now.
— He said he hasn’t talked to Arte at all during process.
— Firing Perry was weeks in making.
Paul Skenes is in danger of losing the Pirates fanbase. He's pitching poorly, insists that Henry Davis sticks around, shows no emotion/personality, got a longtime pitching coach fired, and decries a salary cap because he knows a larger market will give him half a billion dollars.
The Post’s fine baseball preview is out today, including staff predictions. This is my 17th season on the beat, and never picked the Mets to win the W.S. My pick this year: Mets over Mariners.
I will note that my preseason pick last year was Dodgers over Blue Jays.
