@dockevinmcleod Outrageous! The Eagle Ridge hospital ER is severely understaffed. My 79 year old mom was told the wait time was up to 18 hours last November when she required care. This doctor should be commended for speaking out.

@RickGlumacBC My mom would appreciate a follow up so she can share her experience. She is a retired RN and worked for Fraser Health for 40+ years. She has lived in your constituency since 1992. Fortunately I was able to help her seek treatment through my doctor in Vancouver Coastal.

@RickGlumacBC 2/2 The nurse announced the estimated wait time was 18 hours and patients could choose to leave and come back or stay. She tried the ER earlier that day but wait times were very long so tried the Port Moody urgent care centre but a doctor wasn’t availabe.

@RickGlumacBC 1/2 My 79-year old mother went to Eagleridge at 3 am on Nov 14 with severe shingles affecting her face & left eye. The waiting room and hallways were overcrowded with people. A nurse informed everyone there was 1 doctor on duty, with 3 critical patients taking top priority.
