@_lizharvey I think it's often not so much paying as little as possible but wanting there to be an agreed upon price that they know going in. I know a lot of UK people really struggle with the concept of haggling for that reason, even if they could get a better deal.

@postoctobrist I think this is spot on. Manchester from about 2010 to now is an entirely different city. Started when they moved some of the BBC up there and its never quite got there in becoming london 2, just a pale imitation of the original.

@WereInHellYT I think at least anecdotally (35) the 2010s were just full of cooking content. I was consuming it and making stuff even as far back as my uni halls in ~2012. I think BA was the culmination of the trend both in how good the videos were, but also the evils of the YT food industry.
