@ShunaRad@UKFPO For sure, that was one of the rationales for this new system, which I agree with; it’s vital all areas have access to hard working + happy Dr’s. I do think the emphasis should be on making ‘undesirable’ places more appealing i.e. research/ teaching opportunities/accommodation etc
Consistently top 10-20% of my year and won two prizes in 4th year, to be randomly allocated to the bottom of the entire UK. Fantastic new system @UKFPO, thank you for your well wishes for my future career
@Witch_Of_The@UKFPO We were assigned a computer generated random rank and I was assigned 10636 out of 10777 ranks historically this was based on exam grades etc. The top rank gets their first pick of deaneries/areas/jobs and it goes down the list
Medical school graduation yesterday🎓

@GorillaGardner @KHilli0@anummm96 Whilst variability of OOH work has always been present, the situation here is that exclusively placeholders are given no OOH work when their colleagues on surgery etc are working frequent OOH shifts- literally being told it’s because we were allocated to trusts too late
