Grumpy old developers who spend their days sitting behind chunky desks filled with vintage toys, turning coffee, cake and vitamin supplements into great games.
Welcome to Summer Vale Farm! Things are getting a little more complex. This farm has Ducks and Chickens too, aren't they lovely? Unfortunately, Ducks are picky and won't sit in a Chicken nest, Chickens don't like Duck nests either!

@Chavenham The games work with newer generations for the same reason they worked originally. They've not lost what made them fun in the first place - the only issue really are the problems with being able to play them. Emulators and/or original hardware aren't easy for most.
@DeTomPlays Well, I've been at this for a while. ๐คฃ
For the most part, Streamers are all pretty cool people. Most of them just love games which is always something that's great to encounter.
I think they're cracking down on bots and engagement farming on here soon?
@DeTomPlays These days? A Zzap!64 reviewer once said he wanted to smash the joystick through the screen when reviewing one of my 8bit games. :D
I try to engage with streamers, it's healthy. Everyone is just doing a job in this loop after all and deserves kindness and respect.
@DeTomPlays Developers have fairly thick skins, so are forgiving of the odd slip up here and there. :)
I the past, we could to speak with games mag's staff and get feedback, while it wasn't always pretty, it was there and helped. Now, streamers pretty much seal themselves off from dev's.
@LikeToBeBossy Most of my friends are dev's - so you learn how to present feedback in a neutral fashion. Like most things, it's not what you're saying, it's how its said.
@Lizzergas Put a bounding volume around your world segments and only allow the player to zoom out to that boundary. This way you can have different zoom levels based on the size of the segment.
