@Startrance85@Wokenessisevil You don’t like the engine or the art style, that’s fine.
It’s 94% on Steam
4.7/5 on PlayStation
77 or 6 on metacritic
You, the player, may not like these screenshots. But a decent amount of players who have played the game actually enjoyed it.
@UltCent@Wokenessisevil I’m not too sure about that, but I can tell you what I think.
They probably got the facial structure and such from the VA (Adriyan Rae). The art style and skin is supposed to give the same feel as claymation.
@UltCent@lilgoomba911@Wokenessisevil Erm.. interesting take for sure.
I honestly don’t think she looks manly, but it might just be the art style. This is a close up shot after all, most games don’t do too well with that tbf
@jibfreid@Wokenessisevil Yeah I saw that response too, the marketing was horrible. Since the game reached over 1 million players in less than a month, figured I would turn that into pure sales. You’re right to speak on that, realistically not everyone wouldn’t gotten it.
@CrystalTakahara@Wokenessisevil Damn Crystal you’re right. E 33 was multiplat, better story, and there were elements of fomo.
As someone else pointed out that localized folklore doesn’t do all too well.
@lilgoomba911@Wokenessisevil It’s a deep culture in Louisiana, that makes sense that it’s niche, and I guess a lot of folklore games are as well Black Myth: Wukong.
@Fearloops@Wokenessisevil Let me get this straight… you think the game on the right is “gay trash” because it has a non-sexualized Black female protagonist… we had that in left for dead 2…
@DankinaX46351@Wokenessisevil Yes… it missed out on millions due to gamepass… that’s assuming every player would’ve bought it.
But people love folklore and fantasy, that’s why Skyrim is one of the biggest games
