How about we increase or decrease the funded number of seats based on the workforce? What will happen in a few years when we have too many teachers once again? Let's look at ITE research before making a decision. 3/3 @PaulCalandra@MaritStiles
Moving initial teacher education programs back to a 2-semester format would be a mistake. In addition to the prev curriculum courses, we added courses addressing topics like EDI, spec ed, mental health in schools, digital literacies, and math content courses (to name a few). 1/3
In a time when K-12 education is more complex than ever before, going back to two semesters, could eliminate these courses that ultimately support the diverse needs of our K-12 students. How about we fund more seats in ITE programs in TARGETED teachables/areas of need? 2/3
In November, Unity Health Toronto had a deficit of $99 million because the Ministry of Health would not commit to fund its 2024 operating costs. Hospitals have a combined $800 million in deficits. Cuts are happening at a time of a surge in demand. Hallway medicine is exploding.
When @fordnation says he wants to ensure organizations do not waste taxpayer money, I encourage him to look in the mirror. Remember when YOU SPENT 225 MILLION $ TO BREAK A BEER CONTRACT??

This. Says. It. All. 😓
“Ontarians want a government that invests in housing, healthcare and other everyday needs. But instead, we have one that’s giving hundreds of millions of dollars to the Beer Store to get alcohol into corner stores a year early,” Mike Schreiner.
Congratulations @ACooperKMb on a great first week as our new Dean at @OT_FED ! As outgoing acting Dean, and on behalf of all of us at the faculty, welcome!! We are excited to start this next chapter with you.

This final bow took place eight years ago, today, on August 20th 2016. It was the last stop on our MMP tour, and this was our last song of the night; “Ahead By A Century”. Where were you watching from?

So the province paid 225 million $ to break Beer contract but not willing to continue wastewater checking? 🤔 We need to revisit our priorities?

Listening to the people? Don't hesitate to reach out? This commercial is a waste of time and money AND a ruse. When I reached out, I was told you were too busy to talk to me for 10 minutes @fordnation
@kitch226@fordnation I emailed the premier's office requesting a short call (and references that commercial). I got a response and said he was busy--even though he claims we can reach out anytime. 🙄
