Mediocrity is to be avoided and thus even moderation should be employed in moderation, but the flipside is that the same is true of intensity: protracted intensity will fuck you up just as much as protracted mediocrity - it is just more fun when you lose.
The dance lies in “getting the balance right,” which is not something the man passionately alive firing on all cylinders, in tune with his instincts and high off the scent of the evening air wants to hear.
Balance to the extremist, to the outlier, to the man who wants to vividly feel the spark and essence of life itself, reeks of mediocrity and compromise - and so he is averse to it. But these men conflate balance with mediocrity, when it does not have to be that.
To me, balance does not mean being the man in the middle, who never really takes a side because he sees the merit in both, who is never too much of one thing or too little of another. It means not populating one static extreme or not falling in love with one mode of extremism, but inhabiting many forms at different times as the scenario calls for. This makes you less predictable, more of a wildcard, and to my mind, a more complete person - you are versatile.
Balance can be phases of extreme order followed by phases of extreme chaos. Men who are too rule-following, and risk averse stagnate because they are consumed by the rigidity of orderliness, whilst men who are too chaotic doom spiral and destroy themselves through endless frivolous risk. The balance then, is to hit a ratio of order to chaos that allows you to rejuvenate, create, and experience vividly, whilst also maintaining and preserving the structures that sustain you. Starting from scratch over and over again is not a flex. It just means you never learn, and keep fucking it up.
Be a paradox. Do not just inhabit one realm of crazy. Be capable of extreme truth, and extreme cunning. Extreme compassion, and extreme ruthlessness. Reconcile your paradoxes so you do not get stuck in your lane, which is merely the preference of your natural temperament. Practice living in a way that does not come naturally to you so that you may enjoy its fruits, and then my friend, you may dance.
To My Lover, Foluke.
Great has been the journey of walking side by side with you. And so today, on your 78th birthday, is a gift to me, to have the world join me in doing what I have spent 58 years doing: celebrating you.
With you, the weight of the assignment has always been a lighter cross to carry. Our two have agreed, and so our walking together has been of divine stride, a race continuously illuminated, step after step, decade after decade. My path shines brighter because I walk it with you.
Many people know you as Mummy G.O. I have the privilege of knowing you simply as my wife, my friend, and the person who has stood with me through every challenge, every victory, and every assignment God has given us. I have watched you give strength to others even when you were tired yourself. I have seen your quiet sacrifices, your compassion, your wisdom, and your unwavering trust in God. Those are the things that make me thank God for you every day.
Our children have been blessed because of your love. The family of God has been blessed because of your devotion. Countless homes have been strengthened because you answered God’s call with all your heart.
Seventy-eight years of your life, fifty-eight years of them beside me, and still I find new reasons to thank God for you. You have been wife, counsel, and companion in every sense the word was ever meant to hold.
As you celebrate today, my prayer is simple. May the God whom you have served so faithfully continue to uphold you. May He surround you with His peace, fill your days with fresh joy, strengthen your body, renew your strength, and continue to satisfy you with His goodness. May the years ahead be even more fruitful than those behind, and may you continue to see the mighty hand of God at work in your life.
Thank you for walking hand in hand with me. Happy 78th birthday, my love.
Your loving husband,
Pastor E. A. Adeboye

People do not transact with what is in your head. They transact with what you can show them.
You can carry knowledge and still be overlooked because it has no visible trail.
So don’t be visible by hype. Be visible by value. Let the record of your thinking speak before you do.
What someone else did by revelation you may attempt the same through "strategy" by copying, but it always will fall flat.
It will lack divine presence. You will find out it is not of him that runneth nor willeth but by God who showeth mercy.
Obedience is better than sacrifice and he will rather have mercy than sacrifice.
It will lack the finger of God that drives things beyond what and where you can reach. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit but that which is born of the flesh is flesh.
They may look alike externally but impact wise they will be miles apart. One is by grace the other through effort.
Pray to find your own path and run the race that is set before you.
The Kaduna Word Conference was a massive impactful meeting. Thank you to all Volunteers.
We started the planning for this meeting 25 days ago after we received a go-ahead from the Holy Spirit.
Thank you Kaduna.

WE WILL NOT BE SILENT
A Celebration of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye
There comes a time when silence becomes ingratitude.
There comes a time when honour becomes a sacred duty.
There comes a time when sons and daughters must rise to celebrate the gifts that God has given to a generation.
This is such a time.
We refuse to be silent while men and women of eternal significance are reduced to headlines, controversies, and social media trends.
We refuse to stand by while those who have sacrificed decades in service to God and humanity are casually criticized by people who have built nothing, fathered nobody, planted no churches, and transformed no nations.
The sons and daughters of prophets must never be silent while cheap publicity seekers use great men as instruments for attention.
A generation that does not honour its fathers has no future.
A people who cannot recognize greatness in their midst will eventually suffer the tragedy of its absence.
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is not merely a church leader.
He is not merely a denomination head.
He is not merely a respected minister.
He is one of the most significant Christian leaders of our generation and one of the greatest spiritual gifts God has given to Africa and the global Church.
We should never allow a man who chose humility to become the chewing stick of the uninformed.
We should never permit the noise of critics to drown out the voice of history.
We should never watch while modern-day Sauls seek to intimidate, discredit, or silence God's servants.
Scripture records how King Saul pursued David.
Scripture records how Doeg the Edomite became an instrument of destruction against the priests of God.
Throughout history, political power has often sought to suppress prophetic voices.
Yet God has always preserved His servants and vindicated His purpose.
The Church must never become indifferent when its fathers are unfairly attacked.
Nor should we wait until our prophets cross into eternity before we begin to celebrate them.
Too often, flowers are sent to funerals when they should have been delivered while the recipient was still alive.
A business greatest limitation is not capital.
It is thinking.
Many entrepreneurs have learned how to sell.
Few have learned how to build.
A business that depends entirely on your effort may generate income, but it cannot easily create freedom, scale, or legacy.
