Cold War year for example had 5 majors before champs, even with the minors this year believe they had more potential points. I’m sure there could have been a recent cdl year with the same number or less matches.

Meaning they had 50 points possible extra in quals plus whatever you get for your placing at the actual event. That is more than two minors where optic only got 40 extra points total for second both times

Other cdl years have had more events total which means more qualifiers which would equal more overall matches and points total available.

1. Best of 9 - winners bracket team gets 1 map lead
2. Two best of 5s (best option as every team loses two best of 5s in the tournament except for the winner)
3. Finals only Sunday
