So i have taken to Twitter to try and get a decent response, what a joke. DO NOT bother ordering large items from IKEA. Waste of time and money. @IKEAUKSupport

@IKEAUKSupport ordered a sofa, too big, got covid, sent it back wrapped in MY tape and YOUR cardboard. Got sent an email saying refund being processed, all good. WRONG - 40% deducted because not returned in a re-sellable condition

On the phone @IKEAUKSupport say there's nothing they can do - it's up to the store it went back to. I can't even escalate a complaint. I read the T&C's and followed them, and still lost money. AWFUL service and extremely sneaky - especially bad in what are already difficult times
