@GoldenHurricast been thinking about the discussion about apathy with the football program this season and I think I have pinned down why I feel that way. It seems like there is no identity or brand with the two KW teams so far.

I can’t think of a single defining characteristic of either of the KW teams so far. We don’t even have a consistent starting QB to try and get behind or watch develop. We don’t play great defense. We don’t run the ball very well. QBs and WRs can’t build chemistry due to rotating.

Like the Monty teams weren’t all the greatest but his teams consistently established the run and then would air it out to keep defenses honest. Not sure on the stats but it felt like we consistently scored and that was enough to keep us intrigued even with the down seasons.

@GoldenHurricast The thing that keeps me from being excited about the recruiting is that any recruit that can add value to the program will hop in the portal to go to a more competitive team after a season like this.

@GoldenHurricast If the administration feels comfortable waiting five years to become bowl eligible again then letting Monty go makes even less sense. I’m not saying TU is a super prestigious program with a precedent of bowl game success but Blank and Monty both had bowl wins within two years.
