Jeremiah Smith message through a song on IG:
“I heard the rumors saying I’m packing up and flying out,we aint goin nowhere I’m staying here gon fight it out”
If 4 head up, ten toes down and ready to carry us through this storm, then we rocking out with him nun else need to be said
Let’s go win out, beat Michigan, and make this natty push
But regardless We behind you win, lose,or draw. #takeusthere4 🤞🏽💯🌰🅾️
It’s so hard to get recruited. You tell your coach you want to play a position, they say you’re being selfish. You need to think of the team, but at the end of the year I’ve never seen a college coach come and offer the whole team a scholarship. If I don’t get a scholarship I don’t get to go to college. I’m listed at a position that I almost never played because of injuries to my teammates. But I’m selfish if I asked to be listed at the position play the most. On top of it all college coaches don’t even answer DMs.
We finished 1-8, I finished with 1,678 yards. Passing, Rushing and Receiving and 11 TDs, 700 punt yards, averaged 42 yards a punt and led all of Illinois 1a-8a for 6 weeks in punt average with my longest being 68 yards. I’m 5’11 160 Junior and run a 4.48. So my college dreams are over if we suck. Got it Coach.
Jeremiah Smith could be the first wideout to be selected No. 1 in the NFL draft in 31 years 😮

Dear Coaches, Family, and Friends,
First I want to say I’ve put a lot of time and prayer into this decision. I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have supported me throughout my football journey. I also want to thank all the colleges and coaches who have shown interest in me. With that said, I have officially decided to close my recruitment and end my football career. God has placed on my heart to step away from the game and focus on this next chapter: heading to Mississippi State next year to pursue my education.
I have to be all in with God and eliminate any obstacles that stand in the way of my faith. Many know that my senior season was shortened because of an injury, and while I was lucky to return for my last two games, I believe God used that time to draw me closer to Him. This injury was not the cause of me leaving the game, but I trust that God is using my circumstances for His good. Whatever He has in store for my future, I know it requires an immense amount of faith, and I am choosing to be fully obedient to that calling.
This decision took everything out of me, and while I may not have all the answers, I know the One who does. I am listening to where I feel the Holy Spirit is leading me—away from the field and toward my studies at Mississippi State
Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Angles are too complicated to understand, clearly he thinks their stars give them super powers. Rivals camps are invite only and that’s where you get your stars. So I know it’s a hard concept but it’s possible better players didn’t attend the camp and went to other schools. As a powerhouse school you receive 1,000s of film and request for visits etc. you already have a program to run so they higher recruiting personnel who start with the top 10 players in whatever position they’re told to look for. So if they’re not ranked then they don’t know they exist.
