Nowadays, people are officially in their quiet era. Whatever happens, happens, People don't have much to say about anything anymore. It is what it is, and life goes on.
For your own sanity, let things be. You do not have to fix every situation, explain every feeling or understand every ending. Some things are best accepted and left behind.
While we're getting our Psalms on this month. Here's a scripture for today!📍
Isa.43.19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. (NKJV)
I found a prayer in Habakkuk 2:3 this morning...
Lord, for the things You have shown me that have not happened yet, teach me how to wait without losing heart. When the vision takes longer than I expected, keep me from assuming You have forgotten me. When I cannot see movement, keep me from creating movement out of panic. Give me the discernment to know the difference between a promise that needs my obedience and a promise that simply needs my patience.
When everyone around me seems to be moving ahead and my own life feels suspended, keep me from measuring Your faithfulness by somebody else’s timeline. Let me remember that something can be taking longer without being denied. And when I am tempted to walk away because I have waited longer than I thought I would, remind me that “though it linger, wait for it.” Lord, teach me to wait without turning the waiting into evidence that You are not working.
The world isn't designed for an honest man to succeed. Sometimes, rules need to be broken to achieve your goals. If you follow all the rules for goodness, you may find yourself in poverty. The voice of a poor man is trapped within his throat.
There's something called Grace. When it locates you, it doesn't inspect your certificates or your background. It simply changes the story of your life. I pray the Lord's Grace locates everyone.
The older I get, the more I believe happiness lives in the little things. A quiet morning coffee. Long walks. A nice novel. A cosy home. Good food. Good hearted people. So much of life’s beauty is already here. Society makes us think we need to be 'extraordinary' to be happy. But that’s a recipe for frustration. There’s so much beauty in a simple, honest life. Being yourself and slowly building a life that feels right in your heart. And one day, you look back and realize... you didn't need more, you just needed to notice what you already had.
Living a slow life calms your nervous system. You don’t panic. Stop overthinking every little thing. You stop feeling like every moment has to be productive. Some mornings, you just sit in silence. You watch the sky. Listen to the birds. Feel the warm sun on your skin. Breathe in the morning air. Some days you read 50 pages. Some days you don't read at all. Resting doesn't make you feel guilty. You don’t have that anxiety to optimize every second of your existence anymore. That constant pressure to “do more" just disappears. And it's replaced by something that you actually need: calm. The calm that stills your mind, nourishes your soul, and makes you feel more alive.
I finally understand why some people go silent, stop posting, and disappear from social media. Sometimes life gets so real that you stop documenting it and simply start living. Being unseen starts feeling more peaceful than being constantly perceived.
No one talks about the heavy regret that comes with being vulnerable with someone you genuinely believed was a safe place, only to realise they weren’t. It’s not just embarrassment. It’s the feeling of wishing you could take every word back, wishing you had protected the parts of yourself you trusted them with. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t that they hurt you, it’s realising you were wrong about who you could safely be yourself with.
Learn to be alone. Eat alone. Sleep alone. Vibe alone. Become so rooted in yourself that you don’t need no validation to feel okay. Because when you’re comfortable in your own company, you stop settling for people who disturb your peace. And if you ever doubt yourself, remember who you used to be and how far you’ve already come.
You can’t feed the whole community with one loaf of bread. Sometimes, the bread is just yours. Turn people down if you need to. Disappoint people if you have to. Know when to give and when to say no. Being too soft-hearted can leave you drained.
When this year ends, I won't celebrate it. I'll respect it, I took the hits. I broke, rebuilt, & learned what mattered. this year wasn't kind but it changed me.
Leaving people alone is the clearest way to show you’re not desperate for their presence. If someone wants to be in your life, let them choose it freely. You don’t have to chase, convince or force anyone to stay.
