Deception is a very poor foundation for anything spiritual.
I am not surprised. She learnt well from her leaders. This was how Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje and Richard Burton disguised themselves as Muslims. They were allowed into the sacred place and they started pushing their agenda.
Yet, these are the people who falsely accuse Muslims of practicing Taqiyyah ๐ ๐
When we preach religious respect and tolerance, letโs s act it ๐
Apparently messi canโt complain to the referees anymore because its โsnitchingโ
This is football not a local gang ffs thereโs nothing like snitching in foktball
The first word revealed in the Quran was "Read." If there is any religion in the world that prioritizes education, it is Islam.
One of the things we talked about in the lecture on Monday is how we must separate the flawless teaching of Islam and the inadequacies of Muslims. If you check what this guy said and the many comments on the HRM Sanusi Lamido graduation video, it is clear people still mix these two up.
In all honesty, if there is anyone who is an advocate of quality education, it is HRM Sanusi Lamido. And if you have seen anywhere that education is haram in Islam, then you saw the wrong thing, or you willfully lied against the religion.
The reason why Islam stands tall over other religions is because of its knowledge system. It is very rigorous and built on strict verification. You cannot say things anyhow. You are required to bring proof.
Early Muslim scholars built entire academic sciences just to verify a single sentence and trace its origin. Can you imagine that?
And this mandate is not a male affair. It is compulsory for both male and female to seek education.
Take Aisha for instance, she was one of the greatest scholars in Islamic history. Senior male companions would go to her to learn complex matters of law, medicine, and mathematics. If Islam made education haram, or limited it to men, how did a woman become the teacher of the most knowledgeable men?
People need to start judging Islam by its authentic texts, not by the cultural flaws and political actions of a few individuals. Itโs hypocrisy. Donโt be a hypocrite.
Let me tell you guys why I am afraid for the future of Dawah in Yoruba land, despite having heavyweight scholars among us.
The media space is heavily polluted. The everyday Muslim can no longer tell the difference between truth and falsehood. I was reading through my comments and people were seriously asking me if I know Islam better than the Mufti.
Can you imagine that? The logic for them is that if the Mufti is doing it, then it must be right. Their love for him has blinded them to the extent that he cannot do any wrong. That is not Islam.
I do not hate him either. I am a bonafide Ilorin indigene and I know how the Muftis of the past carried themselves.
The office of a Mufti is an inward position. It is meant for deep reflection and issuing rulings, not for show. His current style of attending every social gathering is a dilemma of merging his past as an outward celebrity scholar with his present reality. It makes things very difficult.
If there is anybody who should have curbed Alhaja Kaola from doing this, it should be him. But painfully, he will go there. And we all know what will happen. He will use the Quran to justify the gathering as usual. This is supposed to be the person that should be issuing ruling to the everyday Muslims.
And this is where the problem is. When solid scholars speak out and say this is wrong, the masses will attack them. They will call them extremists. They will call them Alakatakiti.
Many people cannot even differentiate between these standard scholars and the celebrity ones. They actively hate the strict scholars and blindly follow the Mufti type of Alfa because it fits their desires. Unfortunate.
During our lecture yesterday, I made sure to emphasize this to the students. People need to learn Islam by conviction. We must learn from the perfection of the Quran, not from the imperfection of the Mufti, Alhaji Wasiu, or Alhaja Kaola.
If at this point you still don't get why we should be afraid in Yoruba land, then you might be selfish or you are not just looking wide enough.
Walaikum Salam. I think many people donโt understand the definition of tattoo in Islam.
Tattoo in Islamic law is known as Washm. It is defined by the physical act of piercing the skin with a needle and injecting dye beneath the surface.
It is prohibited because it is tied directly to the mechanical process of breaking the skin and permanently altering the flesh. The ink you all see is locked under the skin.
Henna is entirely different. It is a plant based dye that is applied topically to the outer layer of the skin. It does not break the skin barrier. It does not pierce the flesh. It stains the skin cells on the surface, which naturally shed over a few weeks.
Can you now see that they are different?
Therefore, categorizing henna as a semi-permanent tattoo is a modern English label. It is legally flawed in Sharia.
In fiqh, rulings are attached to the physical reality of an action, not what society names it. This falls under the fundamental jurisprudential maxim that says:
ุงูุนุจุฑุฉ ุจุงูุญูุงุฆู ูุงูู ุนุงูู ูุง ุจุงูุฃุณู ุงุก ูุงูู ุจุงูู
Consideration is given to the realities and meanings of things, not merely to their names and forms.
This brings me to semi-permanent tattoos, such as microblading or lip blushing. They are forbidden. Why? because they still involve cutting or scratching the skin to deposit pigment.
Henna on the contrary does zero cutting. It is a temporary stain.
Another major factor is whether a substance creates a physical barrier that prevents water from reaching the skin during Wudu or Ghusl. Henna does not form a waterproof film. It colors the skin itself, and it allows water to wash over the skin freely.
Henna cannot be legally categorized as a tattoo in Islam. One is a forbidden piercing, while the other is a permissible topical stain.
Allah knows best.
Anybody that says Argentina robbed Switzerland is not alright! That was a disgusting dive from Embolo and he is the reason Switzerland lost today not the referee. Argentina played a disgraceful game and won thanks to Emboloโs foolishness and not FIFA or referees!
