Israeli FM Sa'ar's call to his Ethiopian counterpart came two days after Egypt, Eritrea, Sudan and Somalia signed the El Alamein Declaration. This was no courtesy call. It was open support for Addis Ababa at its most isolated moment.
No actor wants Ethiopia to reach the Red Sea more than Israel. The UAE's military buildup in Ethiopia over the past months carries Israeli fingerprints, and the mind behind it is Tel Aviv. The goal is to build an allied corridor on both shores of Bab el-Mandeb.
📌 This is what the monster, the so-called Amhara-controlled opposition. has been propagating for the past 3 years, and especially over the last 2 weeks, continuing to do so in order to keep the war from reaching them.
🚨 Over 20 Amhara militia members and civilians reportedly killed in Alamata as fighting erupts with Tigray Peace Forces and Federal Police
More than 20 Alamata and surrounding-area militia members and civilians have reportedly been killed in fighting in Alamata City, North Wollo Zone, Amhara Region, following a confrontation with Tigray Peace Forces and Federal Police.
According to Mereb Media, militia members stationed at Hawujano School were surrounded and attacked by Tigray Peace Forces and Federal Police. Federal Police were accused of providing covering fire with DShK heavy machine guns and other weapons as Tigray Peace Forces attacked the militia positions.
The confrontation reportedly followed growing tensions after Alamata-area militias, which had fought alongside federal forces during the recent fighting on the Raya front, were told they were no longer needed after reaching Alamata. The militia members accused federal authorities of handing control of Alamata and other parts of Raya to forces aligned with Getachew Reda, prompting the dispute that subsequently escalated into armed clashes.
