@menezrm Fans will always want the club to “just pay,” but Perez has built his success on discipline, not impulse. If Rodri isn’t worth City’s asking price, he’ll simply look elsewhere.
What if Barça are simply being used as leverage by City to squeeze more money out of Madrid for Rodri, just like Arsenal’s interest gave Vinícius leverage in his contract negotiations?
If Perez misses out on Rodri, he should go all in for Zubimendi. Another elite controller of the game, capable of dictating tempo and bringing balance to the midfield.
@RMadrid_Akin Exactly, he’s won everything. That also means he has more to lose than to gain. Once you leave a club like Madrid, there’s no guarantee you’ll reach those heights again.
@RMadrid_Akin I never said everyone who left failed. My point is that leaving is a gamble. There are enough cautionary tales to show leaving Madrid at your peak isn’t an automatic upgrade.
@RMadrid_Akin You’re changing the subject. The discussion was never about Mbappe or Madrid’s trophies. It’s about whether leaving Real Madrid at your peak is a wise move, and history suggests it’s always a gamble.
People are fixated on percentages. One person’s 20% image rights can be worth far more than another person’s 50%. It’s about commercial value, marketability and what each player brings to the table, not just the number.
You gave Mbappe 80% image rights while Vini is on 50%. You gave Mbappe a signing bonus of Over €100m then Vini ask for 70% and a little increase in salary considering what he has done for the club and you’re clowning saying “we can’t break the wages structure”. But
You can give Mbappe’s mother bonuses
Shame on you!!!!!
Nobody wants him to leave. But Madrid existed before him and will exist after him. If he thinks he’s bigger than the club, then letting him go is the right decision.
Madrid should let Vini leave if they can’t reach an agreement. Giving in to one player’s demands could set a precedent and open the door for others to demand the same.
@RMadrid_Akin We’ve heard this before. Özil, Di María and Varane all left Madrid for clubs with “great projects.” None consistently hit the heights they reached at Madrid. Arsenal may be flying now, but leaving Madrid is still a gamble.
@HandofArsenal@MrArsenicTM Unpopular opinion: Madrid should let Vini go. As good as he is, agreeing to his demands could create problems in the dressing room. One exception today becomes everyone else’s argument tomorrow.
Real Madrid has a way of making world-class players look even better. Robinho left too soon and never truly fulfilled his potential. Vini should think long and hard before making that move.
🚨 EXCL : Arsenal Football Club have personal terms agreed in principle with Vinicius Junior. Roc Nation will go armed into negotiations with Real Madrid with a monstrous offer from the English Champions…….over to you Vinicius Junior. Story W/ @MrArsenicTM
