@BobBark11503563@Banx_Leaf Tbf Dregs doesn't know shit. It was also reported that Philly had the best offer, so Hayton probably wasn't offered. It was also only reported that they had received calls about Knies, not that they were exploring a trade.
@BLee1995x@tavkniesnythews Joshua was a nothing burger until late-season. At $3.25 you could allocate that cap someplace else. Stolarz might not be needed with Hildeby and Akhtyamov coming up.
This feels like a pivot. I do believe everyone should focus more on their mental health and reach out for help when they need it. I don't for a second believe that was what he was referring to. If you wanna say something, say it with your whole chest.
We just watched 5'8 Logan Stankoven have an absolute monster playoff run.
We also got to see 5'9 Lane Hutson be the best skater for Montreal on their big run.
I'm so tired of reading "oh but he's small"
There are so many amazing players in the league that are under 6ft tall.
@LeafsRundown@WatchMyReview I'd argue they could move Stolarz still. You have Hildeby and Akhtyamov, and although I'd like to have a capable 3rd string for injuries/rest, I could see Edmonton making a play for him. Stolarz/Jarry tandem is fine, and he'd be relatively low-cost.
@EimajCam@RC3POX3Point0 Under the right structure, he could have been more than that. His worst season came under Berube, where the whole team struggled defensively. The sample size isn't huge, but his numbers were progressing well, especially under Keefe.
@LeafsfanEst1991@Banx_Leaf I could see him getting moved too, unless the injuries soured his value too much for teams to pick up the phone. 7 injuries since 2021 isn't great though.
@Takhar77 They have 3 NHL goalies in their system without Woll. You're out to lunch if you think anyone believes Ersson will play NHL games. He's a Marlies replacement.
@LeafsfanEst1991@Banx_Leaf I don't disagree, but his health is a concern, and they addressed part of a need (puck mover). It also helps having Hildeby and Akhtyamov on their way up.
@EimajCam@RC3POX3Point0 Health is obviously a concern, but 28 is still young enough imo. If he stays healthy, he could have at least 6-8 seasons left. That's decent value. I am excited for Akhtyamov, though.
@HStandersen I'd assume there's more moves coming to free up space on the left. Pairing him with Danford is a start, who looks poised to take a step. Bad AHL goalie is fine by me if Hildeby and Akhtyamov can continue their play with the big club. As for size, I don't see that as a necessity.
