My mom Sabrina Catlin passed away on June 9th, almost a year ago, and it is still traumatic. I still have not begun to heal and I do not think I ever will get over it. She was an amazing trans woman, mom, and person. She did everything for her community. She was the one who would get the Wells Fargo Bank uptown in Charlotte to change it to trans and pride colors each year. She was an organizer and leader in the trans pride organization, the trans elder community, and PFLAG. She was an advocate for animals and a psychiatrist for trauma kids. She loved motorcycles and riding, nature, Captain Marvel, old shows, cooking, eating, watching movies, and playing games on her phone.
She loved and she loved and she loved. This is all I can manage to say right now, but that was my true and real mom and I loved her so much. Please hold on to the people you love because everything can change so fast. 🏳️⚧️
