Unrelenting gore fests are not my favorite subgenre but I had such a good time with #EvilDeadBurn - jumped the shark a few times, but otherwise creative kills and a good balance of humor that keeps these reboots connected to their roots

#Backrooms was beautiful, eerie, and more filled-out than I was expecting. Great acting and just stunning sets. Heavy nods to Skinamarink, Shining. Trapping Kline in extradimensional claustrophobia given her mom’s paranoid agoraphobia was just nasty. Can we escape ourselves?

I'm glad he said this because it's MY biggest takeaway from the film. Obsession is ultimately a tragedy where a woman is stripped of her autonomy for the sake of fulfilling a "nice guy's" fantasy.

#Obsession early access! Superbly acted, so-so pacing, plays more like a drama than a horror (minus a few scenes). Flips the script on the male gaze and how men discard women with I think profound questions about consent and coercion. Johnston plays a perfectly spineless antihero

FACES OF DEATH is a clever, meta reimagining of the 1978 film that damningly critiques our social media-dominated society’s fascination with and desensitization to violence. Structurally, it plays out like a conventional serial killer thriller, but there’s real craft underlying the filmmaking. Dacre Montgomery terrifies as a deeply unsettling serial killer determined to use violence to achieve social media fame. Doesn’t go nearly as extreme as the marketing material would have you think, but there’s a tense and at times quite funny movie to be enjoyed here.

#FacesofDeath so fun and unexpected. Felt like some '90s thrillers I love and miss. Dacre fine and fun, Barbie great. Total sucker for the score. It’s always a treat when the #ScreamUnseen is good
