@IrrationalBrat Substitute some of the water for salsa/rotel to make an easy Spanish rice. You could also sauté some bacon, green pepper and onion before adding in the rice and cooking per instructions. Add some black beans after cooking to make a Cuban style rice and beans.

@HammerbarnCEO I just snip one loop of the hair tie and kind of unwind it from my daughter’s hair. All the elastic ones I’ve tried will rip out the hair if you pull it out and fabric covered ones aren’t strong enough to hold her fine hair.

@mamainottawa Do your grandparents know that they are welcome in your lives? If so, they should be making an effort to be in their lives. My MIL is similar and we are always the ones to reach out or invite her to visit. It’s exhausting and a point of tension.
