We are excited to announce that Zamara Foundation has officially received Observer Status with the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child @acerwc 🎉🎉
This recognition comes at a time when children’s rights, especially those of adolescent girls, young mothers, and marginalized children, demand bold, feminist, and accountable leadership.
Through this platform, we look forward to contributing to regional dialogues, strengthening accountability, and amplifying community-rooted advocacy that places children’s dignity, agency, and wellbeing at the center.
We are deeply grateful to our partners, allies, and communities who continue to walk this journey with us. This win belongs to all of us🥳

International Day Of Persons With Disabilities
As we amplify voices demanding an end to uphold inclusion, we decerebrate Kenya for making bold steps this year, the wins that move us closer to justice, dignity, and inclusion.
From the new Persons with Disabilities Act 2025 to advances in education and healthcare, each milestone reminds us that progress is possible when communities push, advocate, and stay loud.
A feminist future must be accessible, inclusive, and centered on those most impacted.
Here’s what we’re celebrating in 2025. ⬇️

New month. New reminder.
You are not broken, this system is.
And our healing, loud, quiet, messy, is rebellion.
Let softness be strategy, rest be resistance, and care be contagious.
May we always have grace to begin again.

This #WAD2025, as the world rallies under the theme “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” we join the call for a response that is bold, well-resourced, and rooted in human rights.
Disruptions, whether political, economic, or social, must not delay the fight to end AIDS by 2030. They must strengthen our resolve to dismantle stigma, confront harmful patriarchal norms, and expand access to comprehensive SRHR services for all women, girls, and marginalized communities.

We are proud to have our adolescent and chaperon represented at the Children’s Symposium, taking place from 28–29 November alongside the 46th Ordinary Session of the @acerwc in Maseru.
Their presence is a bold reminder that adolescent girls in all theor diversities belong in decision-making spaces as rightful contributors to conversations shaping their lives.
We look forward to their insights, their courage, and the powerful reflections they will bring back to our community.

The Pre-CSW70 Africa Consultations have officially wrapped! Ministers of Gender have adopted the Common Africa Position that will guide their collective voice at CSW70 next March in New York. A milestone for the continent.🌍✨
🎥 Watch the recap of the ministerial consultation:
Today marks the official opening of the 46th Ordinary Session of the #ACERWC, a critical moment to reaffirm Africa’s promise to its children.
As states convene, we echo a clear demand, resource child rights work like it matters. Because it does. Budgets must reflect a continent that safeguards bodily autonomy, education, dignity, protection, and meaningful participation for every child.
