i just read someone say “historically, men never provided for women, they simply restricted women from providing for themselves” and i haven't stopped thinking about it since.
I get irritated when I see poor people having kids. Call it classism but why are you birthing kids in a one room apartment where you owe rent, you and your dearest hubby are struggling to eat, you cannot even afford diaper but you are having kids?
If women don’t lower their standards soon, they’ll die alone in their clean homes, with their regulated nervous systems, balanced health, full bank accounts and a peace like no other. They better chill..
“He has childhood trauma.” So do I.
“He’s under a lot of pressure at work.” So am I.
“He’s just overwhelmed.” Me too.
The only difference is that we excuse men’s behavior, and shame women for not carrying it.
The idea that unmarried women will 'die alone' is ridiculous because...everyone dies alone. You're not going to take your husband and children to the grave with you.
