When I stepped into the lead role at BSEN, I committed to making it the best I possibly could. This code means the world to all of us not necessarily for the money, but just the sense of validation it carries.

Might not seem this way, but there’s actually quite a few expenses I cover, so let’s break down the first half of the year as we approach the end of Q2 (yap yap incoming)👇

First, WHAT costs money, you may be wondering? Well, the most obvious one is the checkmark through X premium. Beyond that, we also cover website hosting fees for both the service itself and the domain. Those are the general “month to month” expenses that arise for us, which to some may not seem like a lot, but doing it for five years with zero net income does add up.

Beyond that, there’s also some season specific expenses depending on the time of the year. Most of the time, they center around the pre-LAN tournaments or the magazines. Last year, we produced our first printed magazine copies and what is in my opinion our best magazine to date overall. This came with its challenges though, as I had to pay additional for EU based printing due to timelines, costs for shipping, extra weight baggage, etc. and for Pre-LAN events, while we try to collaborate to raise the prizepool to a high standard for competition (thanks Hardstuck 🐐) I try to give a little something to the casters during their actual stream.

We’ve basically flipped BSEN and did a full 180 in the past few months, the difference in stats is night and day. Last year, there were some months where we had under 20k impressions total. Since I took over:
October - 600k
November - 700k
December - 700k
January - 1.3mil
February - 1mil
March - 1.2mil
April - 1.4mil
May - 1.4mil

On Twitter alone. We also rebooted our Instagram properly this year and with the combined website Instagram Twitter interactions, we are on track to hit just under 10mil impressions for this first half of the year.

2025 was a big year for us, one of ambition. We adopted live match updates, covering every official match this year. We published two magazines, and published our first printed magazine at Dreamhack Stockholm for Worlds. We created a website to let people see qualifier brackets in real time, and hosted the pre-LCQ tournament. Give it up for:
