Over the moon with this. We asked for Rangers men in that dressing room, we asked for leaders, and Shankland is the best possible start to the window we could’ve hoped for.
We need characters like him driving standards every single day.
👏🏻
On balance, I think this is the right decision but we’ll see the proof of the pudding next season.
What Rangers fans can say now - in my view - is that Cavenagh has shown more public leadership in 12 months than we’ve seen in the last two decades combined.
Short and sweet
I really like Cavenagh he doesn’t hide he clearly understands what the job is (now more than ever) and what he needs to do
I think he genuinely cares and is angry at how this seasons gone and desperately wants to get things right
Rich guys don’t like losing
It was put to Andrew Cavenagh that we’re fed up of the cycle of manager failing, being kept on, bad start, sacked.
He said he understands that but ‘it can’t always just be down to the manager. We need to look at the underlying reasons it keeps happening to break the cycle’.
That is genuinely the biggest fucking disgrace ever to happen in modern football.
If nothing else it will finally wake the other clubs up to what’s been happening for so long.
