@Doc_Joshi He's been here for less than 6 months, been a part of a horrendous team, no service from midfield, yet you want to ship him away in January with zero thought. A loan would be fine, but selling him now is dumb.
@planetsportbet@RobbieSavage8@FrazFletcher The money spent is irrelevant because it wasn't being spent in the right way, now that we've brought in a proper DOF and Sporting director that should change.
But the tactical and selection mishaps are mounting, and it's becoming difficult to defend him.
🚨 NEW: There have been no reports of riots tonight as thousands of anti-racist protesters significantly outnumber anti-immigration demonstrators across the country
@benfowlkesMMA Where was this energy for Paddy? At least @muhammadmokaev hasnt turned down fights, been unprofessional between camps, kissed the boss' ass and more..
If the UFC put the same energy into him that they do for Paddy, he would be flyweight champ by now..
This is @JacobSteinberg, football reporter for the Guardian
2 weeks ago, just before United's FA Cup Final, in an exclusive article for the Guardian, he claimed Man Utd have decided to sack Erik ten Hag regardless of the Cup final outcome.
2 weeks on and we are still waiting.
It has been suggested that the article was a PR piece for a certain manager who wanted the Utd job. Other theories claim sending an already fractured fanbase to turmoil just before the Final was a way to help a certain London-based club whose European qualifications hinged on that result. I guess we will never know the actual reason. In any case, it was a hit job by Steinberg. Fortunately for Utd, it backfired and Utd won the Cup.
Any decent journalist would have retracted the article and kept his head down but not Steinberg. In fact, he used his hate and disdain for Man Utd to focus on the 19-year-old Kobbie Mainoo.
England succumbed to yet another cowardly performance under Gareth Southgate. The goal they conceded was as a tactical failure and as much as Declan Rice and Kyle Walker's fault as anyone's. The bigger questions were why couldn't England score even a single goal against 72nd-ranked Iceland? But Steinberg zeroed in on Kobbie Mainoo with this review of his performances and shielding his fellow London-based Declan Rice from media ire.
A simple Google search told me Jacob Steinberg regularly gives paid lectures on How to be a Football writer. Is this how you become a football writer? By writing hit pieces, being unprofessional, holding grudges, being contemptuous and being a disgrace to the profession?
@guardian_sport@guardian you have a lot to answer
@UtdFaithfuls English press have never changed since the Beckham days. Always look for a way to put down the united lads before anyone else. When they get bored of rashford, they'll come after kobbie
Manchester United's owners have taken money out of the club for the last 19 years, while Manchester City's owners have put money into the club. The results can be seen both on and off the pitch.
@jaim3099@footballontnt You're right, but he also oversaw the relegation of one of the biggest clubs in the country. You cannot judge a manager on one season usually, but he cannot be considered in the conversation because of that. We're talking different levels with Sir Alex, and Pep.
