One beautiful thing I love about Fabrizio Romano, even when the Transfer window is done and closed across the top five European league, he will still be highly active with the Saudi transfer, South America transfer, African transfer, Asia transfer among other football related news and activities.
So if you like warm and chase clout with this very transfer till 1st of September. Fabrizio Romano is the S. I Unit of Football Journalist and he'll forever be a force here, he'll forever be loved, he'll forever get the numbers and he'll forever be our number go to football activities.
Just dey fool dey go... Ekpa.
Funny thing is as problematic as Tyla is she never did anything to us Nigerians.
Infact her xenophobic fans always call her out for not being openly against us.
That being said, it’s good she wasn’t allowed to come. Optics wise it would have been a disaster for our pride.
🇪🇸🗣️ Andoni Iraola: "If you analyse in swimming, boxing, track and field, Spain don’t normally win medals. But in collective sports they are VERY good. In football, basketball, handball, hockey, normally they have good teams. We always put the team first."
"An example is someone like Rodri. He didn’t score or make an assist but at the end they won the World Cup and he won best player of the tournament. Team-first was always integrated in how we were raised." (@guardian_sport)
I opened the comment section expecting to see meaningful conversations about what went wrong, only to find it filled with racist. Apparently even the initial tweet implied same it just eluded me
Botswana did everything right: they put their diamond money in a sovereign wealth fund, funded education, successfully fought corruption, and tried to diversify their economy. And it hardly made a difference. Growth still reversed when the diamond market went bust. The education spending produced hardly any improvement in student performance. Turns out “good institutions” are not, in fact, the secret sauce, at least not on their own. This is not at all surprising if you have the right priors, but it’s very interesting to see it documented and quantified. Great article
