Oggi il Consiglio dei ministri ha approvato nuovi provvedimenti in materia di sicurezza. Non sono misure spot, ma un ulteriore tassello della strategia che questo Governo porta avanti fin dal suo insediamento.

In questi anni abbiamo costruito un impianto chiaro: difendere i cittadini e mettere le Forze dell’ordine nelle condizioni di lavorare meglio e con maggiori tutele. È lo stesso percorso che ci ha portato a rafforzare con diverse misure la protezione dei cittadini e della legalità, a contrastare il crimine organizzato, ad aumentare le pene per chi aggredisce uomini e donne in divisa, ad assumere quasi 40 mila operatori e rinnovare contratti rimasti bloccati per anni, con risorse mai stanziate prima.

Con i provvedimenti approvati oggi rafforziamo gli strumenti per prevenire e combattere la criminalità diffusa.

Rafforziamo la possibilità di allontanare soggetti pericolosi dalle aree più a rischio delle città.

Introduciamo pene più severe per i borseggiatori, con il furto per destrezza che diventa procedibile d’ufficio e la cancellazione del paradosso di finire indagato per sequestro di persona se fermi un ladro che ti ha appena derubato in attesa delle Forze dell’ordine.

Ci occupiamo anche del fenomeno delle baby gang, con una stretta sui coltelli e il divieto di vendere ai minori ogni strumento atto ad offendere.

Introduciamo inoltre strumenti specifici per prevenire la presenza e l’azione di gruppi organizzati dediti alla violenza, che nulla hanno a che vedere con il diritto di manifestare e che utilizzano le piazze come pretesto per creare disordini e distruzione.

Infine, una norma estremamente importante: se ti sei legittimamente difeso, non vieni automaticamente iscritto nel registro degli indagati, pur mantenendo tutte le tutele previste dalla legge.

Continuiamo così ad aggiungere tasselli a un disegno preciso: uno Stato che non gira la testa dall’altra parte, che difende chi ci difende e che restituisce sicurezza e libertà ai cittadini.
