Being called beautiful or attractive is nice, obviously. But sometimes I want the deeper compliments. Tell me I make your life easier. Tell me you’re grateful I exist. Tell me you’re proud of me. Tell me I make difficult days more bearable. Tell me you can’t imagine your life without our friendship or relationship. Tell me you see something valuable in me. There’s so much more to compliment someone on than their appearance.
I actually love clingy. I love someone reaching for my hand in public just because they want everyone to know I’m theirs. I love being the first person they text when something exciting happens. I love waking up to an “I miss you” message or getting a random late-night call because they wanted to hear my voice. Give me all the little reminders that I matter to you. I’ll never complain about being loved too openly.
Unfortunately, i don’t like nonchalant men. be dominant. check on me. be affectionate. tell me i’m gorgeous. plan dates. buy me flowers. be absolutely obsessed with me.
Once you experience a man that randomly brings you flowers, checks on you because he wants to, speaks life into you, makes time for you, communicates, reassures you, and makes you feel safe. You’ll never be impressed by inconsistent “wyd” texts and bare minimum effort again. Real love raises your standards. Once you know what peace feels like, confusion stops looking attractive.
i’m not a “buy me things” kind of girl.
i’m a “take me with you,” “show me the places you love,” and “teach me the things that make you happy” kind of girl.
i don’t want expensive things. i want to be included in your world.
